The Newcastle Jets travel across to Perth this weekend for their Round 25 clash.
The Glory is sitting in last place 3 points behind Melbourne Heart and 10 points behind 6th placed Newcastle.
Perth’s recent form has not been all that great, with two loses and a draw against the Phoenix who Newcastle scored 5 against last weekend, but the Glory does have a pretty good record at home against the Jets. Newcastle has not won in Perth since 2005. So the red and blue will have their work cut out.
When you look at the Glory side on paper you wonder why they are not further up the ladder, but it goes to show how hard this League is. At the back there’s the experience of William Gallas and Michael Thwaite, midfielders Jacob Burns and Royston Griffiths plus up front the dangerous Shane Smeltz, if fit will pose a threat.
So will the Glory continue their winning run over Newcastle in Perth or will the Jets continue their flight path towards finals glory?
