Melbourne Victory fly up to the Jets base of Hunter Stadium this weekend for the all important Round 26 match.
Itís important for the Victory because a win would secure a finals birth, but a loss would see them having to win their last game to stay in the six.
Melbourne donít have a great record at Hunter Stadium. In 12 appearances they have only managed two wins and three draws. They last played in Newcastle earlier this year and came away with a 1 all draw. Their previous two fixtures have produced draws and the unpredictability of this weekends opponents must have coach Kevin Muscat a little concerned.
The key men for Melbourne are captain Mark Milligan and James Troisi. Troisi has scored 11 goals this season and can also create opportunities for teammates. Veteran forward Archie Thompson has struggled for goals against the Jets and has only scored 3 goals in 9 games at Hunter Stadium. Another player to look out for, if fit is Tom Rogic. Although out of last weekends game against Sydney FC he could be a possible starter this weekend.
Can Melbourne Victory lock in a finals spot this weekend or will their poor Hunter Stadium record continue?
