Newcastle Jets skipper Nigel Boogaard and import striker Milos Trifunovic should both be fit for Saturday's clash with A-League leaders Brisbane Roar, coach Scott Miller says.
Boogaard (ankle) and Trifunovic (knee) copped minor injuries in Newcastle's 0-0 draw with Adelaide and were given the day off from training on Thursday, but are still likely to face the Roar at Hunter Stadium.
"They're both recovering very well, which is good to see. We'll review it today," Miller said.
"I anticipate they'll be right and ready to go for Saturday, and then it comes down to my selection thereafter."
Brazilian playmaker Leonardo, who hasn't played since going down after Central Coast youngster Jake McGing's red card challenge in the F3 Derby two weeks ago, is also in line for a recall having impressed in his return to full training.
